Behind every successful man, there’s a lot of unsuccessful years. ~ Bob Brown
I want to be successful since I was a child. I wanted to become an actor. As I grew up, my situations, environment, experiences, exposures and conditions made me less ambitious and more “careful”, as I might say it. You also might have wanted to become someone else. Now you might be able to relate to this article.
Today, we have adjusted with our lives. However, the inner belief that we want or can become someone, never died. This made us more of a talker and less of a doer.
At times while we are talking about ourselves with someone else, we are actually answering our conscience rather than talking to the other person.
We lie to ourselves so much that it starts appearing to us as the truth after a certain while.
Why does this happen?
No one minds success! But we have become habitual to give lame excuses to ourselves. We have established an inner belief that this is the best that we can do. However, we have to constantly remind yourself that “I want to be successful too”.
People are rewarded in public for what they have been practicing for years in private. “I failed” is more of a man than “what if”, because “what if” has never been to the arena while “I failed” has! The master fails more times than the beginner has even tried. It’s never going to be easy because if it would have been easy, everyone would be doing it today.
Successful people are visionary. They don’t only say that “I want to be successful” but, they can also see their dreams and goals being achieved at every single step that they take. They listen to motivational messages, they read motivational blogs, they tell themselves every single day that they can, they will, and they must!
McDonalds, KFC, Nike, Adidas… think of any brand you know of and just reflect for a while that how did you get to know about them? How did you land at their stores?
They kept on advertising their products. Our brains kept on processing that information. It happened so frequently that one fine day, we were standing at their premises without even realizing that its their consistent marketing that made us recollect their products because of which you are their customers today!
I want you to consider your talents and skills as a product.
Then I want you to use the same marketing strategy that is being used by these big brands and remind your brain every single day about your own product. Trust me, if you may, that one day, you will become what you wanted to become. Its all about determination, devotion, dedication, consistency, and hard work.
Successful people know what their next chapter is. They train their brain to visualize the obstacles that are in the way of their goals and they can see themselves overcoming these difficulties because they have created a plan to remove them. This is how they achieve their goals and progress.
The most successful people in the room are not the most gifted people. All they have done is that they have identified their inner talents and skills. You might be having the gift they don’t have but the difference between you and them is
You are yet to recognize your talents, skills, abilities, potentials, and gift! Once you do, there is no power on earth that can stop you!
